About the Organisation
Refettorio Felix at St. Cuthbert’s Centre is a drop-in and therapeutic centre in Kensington and Chelsea that builds and sustains a community of vulnerable and socially-isolated people. Our guests are often homeless and dealing with mental illness and/or substance misuse challenges when they come to us. We offer a delicious 3-course lunch every day made entirely of surplus food and offer a plethora of services such as therapeutic counselling, free laundry and showers and creative workshops to encourage a sense of purpose and self-development. We celebrate the dignity and worth of the marginalized through an empathetic approach.
Job Scope
Refettorio Felix is looking for a self-starting intern to support our communications and events manger raise awareness about the efforts of the organization through written and digital communications and also to assist with the running of events such as a seasonal supper club series. The selected individual will work directly with our Communication and Development manager in creating web content and managing internal and external events at the centre.
Requirements
Applicants with majors in communications, journalism, and graphic design, or the equivalent, are preferred.
Strong proficiency in English is required.
Proficiency and interest in research, analysis, and monitoring.
Strong editing skills.
