Now more than ever, Food for Soul and our partners continue to bring hope and heal the community we serve. This Tuesday, give to our Food for Soul Community Fund and participate in Cooking is an Act of Love. Your contribution will help us scale our impact and strengthen our outreach to those most socially vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. Every day Refettorio teams are working on the frontline to recover nutritious food surplus, preparing and delivering food to those experiencing poverty, hunger, homelessness and isolation. Take Action to leave no one behind.

Join Food for Soul in A Call to Act for a more sustainable inclusive future for all at

Submit your recipe for a opportunity to dine at Franceschetta 58 (x 2 people) in Modena, Italy or receive a Gucci Garden Apron, a brilliant splash of spring from Food for Soul! Chef Massimo Bottura and family will become your best food judge, selecting their top 3 favorite recipes of inspiration that showcase culinary creativity with a zero waste twist.  All 3 favorites will receive a Gucci Garden Apron.  The #1 family favorite will be gifted a hospitality experience at Franceschetta 58. Recipes selected will be judged based on 5 point scale covering culinary creativity, taste, food waste utilization, recipe inspiration and photo image.

What is the eligibility?

  • Anyone can submit to enter, you don’t need to be a Chef!
  • Multiple entries may be submitted, but only 1 entry allowable for Cooking Is An Act of Love giveaway.
  • Entries accepted Tuesday, May 5th – Tuesday, May 12th, close 8:00 pm PST.
  • Entries must meet full submission criteria at


  • All donations are kept private and will not be made available to the public without written consent by the donor.
  • All recipes selected will be made public with prior written consent by submission name.
  • Recipe submissions must be completed at
  • Aprons and hospitality experiences aare made by donation at no cost, valued at less that 1 euro and provided as a gift.
  • Travel and lodging are not included.
  • All contributions are made as charitable donations to support Food for Soul’s mission and not subject to raffle or auction.
  • All gifts that are not collected will be retained by Food for Soul, ONLUS.
